Blue Wing Frog is a true gem in the VA mountains! The food was incredible, owners & staff delightful, & art by Rachel Fitzsimmons stunning! Definitely plan a visit to Strasburg or stop by (like I did) on your way to/from Washington DC on I-81. Strasburg is the best little town & gorgeous murals are everywhere!!

A fantastic meal in a beautiful historic building. I went with the recommended fish tacos, which were full of flavor. Loved the local artwork on the walls. Reasonable prices, and close to the antique stores - well worth a lunch or evening meal.

My husband and I just had the most incredible lunch. Not only is the food to die for, but the hospitality is unmatched. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back time and time again!

We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was good. Our waiter was very nice and very witty (I enjoyed his humor). Food was pricey, but portions fit the amount. I had the shrimp tacos for my meal. They provided way more shrimp then I was able pack into my tortilla shell, so I ended up just eating them with a fork (not a bad thing). My wife had the shrimp po-boy, huge portion of shrimp and a large amount of lettuce (almost too much). We had shrimp for our appetizer. They were good but the for the price seemed a bit too much didn't blow my socks off. We left with a tart that was very good (a must try).

I only had the cheese burger with a lemonade and some shrimp as an appetizer. Sounds simple right? I thought I was just grabbing a quick bite but this place was just amazingly good. All the food seems to be made completely from scratch. The bun on the burger would have been good on its own. The ketchup for the tater tot side is even made in house. Also I'm not much of an art guy but I really enjoyed the artwork in the place. I'm just scratching the surface of the atmosphere of this place. It's really great, I highly recommend you give it a try.

Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed the Blue Wing Frog. Absolutely unmatched hospitality from the owner Robert, we really enjoyed talking with him! As a gluten free person, the menu was clearly labeled, and Robert was very knowledgeable and took it seriously. The food was delicious. Pretty much everything on the plate was made from scratch, including the bun and sauces, and you could tell! We live about two hours away and are planning on returning again to try more on the menu! I could not recommend it enough.

We had a great experience at Blue Wing Frog! We ordered the Blue Wing Burger and the Twisted Philly Roll, which were delicious. The Blue Wing Burger had fantastic flavors: crispy bacon and a fresh, house-baked brioche bun. While the burger patty itself was a little dry, the homemade mustard, ketchup, and aioli more than made up for it—each one was delicious and added a great depth of flavor. The Twisted Philly Roll was outstanding, with tender pulled pork, gooey provolone cheese, and perfectly grilled peppers on a soft brioche roll. The crispy garlic 'taters were some of the best we've had—crispy, well-seasoned, and addictively good. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. On top of the great food, the service was excellent. Robert, the owner, was super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The cozy, laid-back atmosphere made for a perfect dining experience. If you're in the area, Blue Wing Frog is definitely worth a visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just a few minutes drive off 81 and we experienced one of the best home-crafted meals we’ve had in ages. Everything is made from scratch and with love. My husband had a burger with bacon on their house made bun, from scratch ketchup and mayo and the accompanying garlic potatoes were perfection. I had the catfish tacos with to die for homemade strawberry habanero hot sauce (3 outta 10 heat), cilantro crema, and purple slaw that I could have eaten a bowl of by itself and grilled pineapple. We took the expresso banana cake to go but couldn’t resist a bit even though we were stuffed. It’s a must try so unique and delicious! We ordered a $20 bottle of wine that went perfectly with everything. Prices very reasonable for the quality and craftsmanship of their food. Service was a delight! We’ll be back.
